Privacy Policy

Goal Father (“we”, “us”) is operated by Testorithm. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Goal Father app and website, why, and the choices you have. We don’t sell your data and we don’t run advertising or cross-app tracking. On our website (not in the iPhone app) we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used; it uses cookies and receives your IP address, device details and the pages you view. You can block it with your browser’s cookie settings or an ad blocker.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and, if you choose a password, a salted hash of it (never the password). If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your account email (Apple may give us a private relay address) and, the first time, your name.
• Your goals and progress: goals, plans, tasks, daily actions, weekly reviews, journal entries, the photos you attach as evidence, and the health state we compute for each goal.
• Community: if you make a finished move Public, we store and show other members the post: your full name, your goal title and category, your milestone progress, and the metric, photo or note you added. Respects you give or receive, and any reports or blocks, are stored to run the feed and keep it safe. Posts are Private by default.
• Profile (optional): your name, what you do, your age range, hours a week you can give, and a short note. We use these only to plan for you.
• Preferences: reminder settings, your time zone, and appearance choices.
• Optional connections you turn on: a linked GitHub repository (and an access token, stored encrypted, only if you add one for a private repo); Apple Health — read-only workouts, processed on your phone, and only the time of your latest workout is sent to our server; calendar events are created on your device only; a Telegram chat id if you link Telegram.
• Purchases: if you subscribe to Pro, Apple or Google process the payment. We receive your subscription status through our provider RevenueCat — never your card details.
• Sign-up notices: when someone joins, our team gets a private message with their name, email and how they signed up, so we can look after new members.
• Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address and request time) used for security and reliability.

How we use it

• To provide the service: build and adapt your plans, show Today, compute goal health and send the reminders you ask for.
• To run AI features. The text of your goal, your answers and relevant progress are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate plans, reality checks, reviews and advice. We do not allow our AI provider to train its models on your content.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

Who we share it with

Public Community posts are visible to other signed-in members. Otherwise we share only with the service providers needed to run Goal Father: hosting, our AI provider (Anthropic), email delivery (when you use email codes or reminders), RevenueCat and Apple/Google (subscriptions), and GitHub or Telegram only when you connect them. If you share a goal by link, anyone with that link can see what the link shows until you revoke it. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Your choices

• Export or delete: in the app go to Settings › Your data to export everything or delete your account. Deleting removes your account and goal data from our systems.
• Disconnect GitHub, Apple Health, Telegram or the calendar at any time in the app or in your device settings.
• Reminders can be switched off in Settings.

Retention and security

We keep your data while your account exists. Data is encrypted in transit; sensitive tokens are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Goal Father is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. Community is for members 13 and over.

Changes

If we make material changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they apply.
